If you're wondering who provided the comics for our page, it's the very talented Kari Maaren, author of West of Bathurst. West of Bathurst is a wonderful running comic about the Junior Fellows of Davies College, a graduate residence that is, well, in exactly the same geographic spot as Massey College. If you want to know what life as a graduate student is like, this is it.

"Putting the Prod in Productivity," they claim, and they are right! This nifty website allows you to enter a time limit and then forces you to keep writing. There are nasty consequences if you don't.... Available in Gentle, Normal, Kamikaze and Electric Shock!

The BAD DOG THEATRE COMPANY is proud to be part of the world-wide improv community. SFContario will celebrate the best of science fiction and fantasy. This will include the content of literature, media, and visual arts, the educational and academic aspects of science and culture, and the participatory and social aspects such as costuming, gaming, filking, fanzines, online fandom, and other fannish activities.

This clever comic series by the talented Kari Maaren examines life at Davies College (loosely based on Toronto's Massey College where both Kari and Helen were Fellows). Not only did she write and draw the comics for this page, Kari also did the various other cartoons you'll see floating around the website.

When Helen isn't writing poetry and fiction, she studies fourteenth-century manuscripts as part of a Ph. D in medieval studies.
