Beat the Block

It's true that flipping status is one excellent way to generate comedy in a scene, but it's also a good way to generate intensity or action as well. Think about Mackers and Lady Macbeth interacting. When they come together, alone, then the status flips and Lady Macbeth plays high status. This interaction drives our understanding of the partnership.
